40+ years of living and working in Asia. Now in Tokyo where I head up iSearch (isearch.co.jp), a recruiting and executive search firm I started in 2004. Tokyo is my home, but I call San Francisco home, too, when traveling to the USA, where I own another company, BoomerangIt LLC (boomerangit.com), an online Lost & Found service.

We are ardent travelers, domestically and internationally, and have been to at least 32 countries (so far), so not all my writing will be about Japan (although most will). I post regularly on LinkedIn under the CURIOUS JAPAN tagline and I'll move or duplicate some of those posts here in Medium.

I'm an enthusiastic golfer - not a good golfer - but enthusiastic and play something around 80+ games per year. I can shoot a 79 (have done that twice) or 109 (more often).

I enjoy a single malt from time to time, a glass of wine more often, and good Japanese sake on occasion (the good ones are usually drunk cold, by the way).
